Position Description

They Psychology Department at Texas State University invites applications for two Senior Lecturer positions effective Fall 2018. Senior Lecturers are eligible for a five-year term. Eligibility for annual reappointment is contingent upon satisfactory annual performance evaluations during the term period, in addition to continuity of funding and department need. Successful candidates will be expected to do the following:

1. Teach 12 credit hours of undergraduate courses per semester including research methods (PSY 3402), history and theory (PSY 4391), social psychology (PSY 3331), or personality psychology (PSY 3316);
2. Participate in institutional and professional service; and
3. Exhibit a collaborative style that facilitates cooperation and teamwork in the Psychology Department.

The Psychology Department offers classes on both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Required Qualifications

M.A. in psychology or a closely-related field and evidence of university teaching effectiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in psychology or a closely-related field;
Experience teaching research methods, history and theory, social psychology, personality psychology, or other psychology courses;
Record of publication; and
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
