Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

- Must possess EPA Section 608 certification
- Experience in HVAC maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- Understand mechanical concepts, safety protocols & EPA regulations
- Skill in working as a team member & exercising excellent communication skills
- Skill in establishing rapport with a variety of clients & co-workers
- Ability to understand written & verbal job instructions
- Ability to complete electronic work orders & requisitions
- Ability to perform basic math & use trade-specific tools

Preferred Qualifications

- Five (5) years HVAC experience preferred
- Previous experience in higher education or government
- Ability to read blueprints & schematics
- Ability to read & interpret technical manuals
- Possess computer skills, including proficiency with e-mail & use of portable electronic device/tablet
- Experience with SAP & AiM

Job Description

The A/C Mechanic II checks buildings and ensures that the HVAC equipment is functioning properly (i.e., heating or cooling as needed), performs preventative maintenance, troubleshoots equipment and controls, and responds to daily and emergency service HVAC work orders.

Job Duties

- Work independently, competently, and communicate professionally and effectively in performing the following and other duties as assigned:
- Check temperature and equipment in buildings assigned by Head A/C Mechanic
- Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) on assigned equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment and controls and repair as needed
- Operate refrigerant recovery equipment and utilize other trade-specific tools, supplies, and equipment effectively and safely
