Master’s Degree

Demonstrate prior experience conducting systematic literature reviews

Demonstrate prior experience in leading the development of qualitative and/or quantitative research methodologies

Demonstrate prior experience in leading the collection of research data

Demonstrate prior experience and knowledge of data analysis techniques

Demonstrate knowledge and use of data analysis software

Demonstrate excellent writing and editing skills

Demonstrate experience in the management of research-based projects

Demonstrate prior experience in technical, academic, public policy, and/or grant and legislative report writing

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D.

Demonstrate record of scholarly publication

Demonstrate prior experience conducting research related to educational environments

Demonstrate knowledge of the Texas Education Code

Job Description

Assist the Texas School Safety Center’s Associate Director of Research and Evaluation in developing and conducting research projects related to school safety, security, and health as well as the evaluation of internal training program deliverables and outcomes. Lead the development of research grant proposals and scholarly publications. Specific duties include leading extensive and systematic literature reviews, the development of appropriate research methodologies, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of research information.

Job Duties

Lead extensive and systematic literature reviews on topics related to school safety, security, and health

Lead the development of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

Lead the development of data collection instruments

Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data

Develop reports, scholarly articles, and other research related publications

Disseminate information clearly and concisely in verbal and written form

Present ideas to individuals or groups to ensure that they understand the information

Manage assigned research projects including the development of timelines, collaboration among partners, and tracking of project outcomes

Ensure high attention to detail and organization with projects

Perform other duties as assigned
