Job Description

Financial Aid and Scholarships at Texas State University seeks a systems support analyst, manager, and financial aid professional to provide effective leadership in maintaining and enhancing the Ellucian/Banner-Financial Aid system.

Job Description

Reporting to the Associate Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Systems Support Analyst Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations and troubleshooting of Ellucian/Banner-Financial Aid and other related IT systems within Financial Aid and Scholarships. More specifically, this individual designs and maintains the setup tables and configuration code for the financial aid module of Ellucian/Banner. In addition, this position is charged with providing analysis of future system business needs, effectively developing and executing a plan to implement system enhancements, performing quality control measures to address system compliance, and ensuring data integrity. The Systems Support Analyst Supervisor is also responsible for developing queries (using Ellucian/Banner rules, SQL, and PL/SQL), providing system data and related reports, as well as conducting job-related research. This position supervises two System Support Analysts and a System Support Specialist II.

Job Duties

The Systems Support Analyst Supervisor will work collaboratively with financial aid staff, IT staff, and other departments to maintain the financial aid processes in the Ellucian/Banner system. This position will also work with the other Systems Support Analyst in the design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of software and reports. The Systems Support Analyst Supervisor must also keep abreast of all pertinent Elllucian/Banner and related IT system updates, as well as federal and state aid regulatory changes, to ensure compliance, excellent customer service, and business efficiency.
