Position Description

The successful candidate will be expected to establish a strong commitment to high-quality research in the candidate’s identified area of specialization. The candidate must also be dedicated to the teaching and mentoring of students at the graduate and undergraduate levels. In addition the candidate must be actively engaged in service to the department, college, university and mathematical community. The starting salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.

Required Qualifications

1. An earned doctorate in mathematics or statistics or closely related fields.
2. Evidence of or potential for research excellence in their area of research.
3. Evidence of or potential for excellence in teaching.
4. A strong preparation in mathematics.
5. An ability to contribute to departmental missions.

Preferred Qualifications

An applicant who shows potential for research collaboration with current faculty.
